Isaias weekend: Pinellas harvest festival moves to Oct. 24, Island Fest canceled
FOX 13 reports the St. Pete Autumn Harvest Festival at the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement is now Oct. 24 and Island Fest at Honeymoon Island is canceled. The St. Pete Pier's fall festival page lists conflicting dates.

Two Pinellas fall events planned for this weekend have been moved or called off because of anticipated severe weather from Hurricane Isaias, FOX 13 reported Friday. The St. Pete Autumn Harvest Festival at the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement is now set for Oct. 24, and Island Fest at Honeymoon Island was canceled.
FOX 13 reported that Island Fest organizers had not announced a replacement date. The harvest festival had been scheduled to feature fall activities, hayrides, crafts, food vendors and pumpkin activities, according to FOX 13.
Pier fall festival: confirm the dates
The St. Pete Pier's page for its free St. Pete Fall Festival lists two different sets of dates. The event-details header shows Oct. 10-11, while the schedule further down the same page lists Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Check with the Pier or the producer, Pier Events, LLC, before heading out.
Whenever it runs, entry is free, but some activities cost extra. The Pier says putt putt tickets can be reserved online, while pumpkins from its pumpkin patch and bounce zone tickets are sold at the event.
Before you go
FOX 13 said its list came from the events' official websites and social media channels and that more postponements or cancellations were expected, so the event's own page is the best place to confirm plans.
Anyone heading to the beach should note that a rip current statement covering Pinellas County runs until 8 p.m. Sunday, and a high surf advisory was listed until 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the weather alerts shown on FOX 13's page.
