Project background
FDOT says the job is removing the existing toll plaza and converting it to all-electronic tolling. The agency says the change is meant to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and improve safety by eliminating the need for vehicles to slow or stop at toll collection points.
The project began July 13, 2026. FDOT lists the construction cost at $1.2 million and expects the work to finish in fall 2026.
